Faculty, staff, and commuting students are encouraged to leave campus now and should coordinate with their supervisors and faculty if they have any concerns. Non-essential employees must charge appropriate leave accruals if they cannot work remotely and supervisors are encouraged to be flexible when considering time and attendance leave requests.

黑料社 Researchers Receive $546,000 NYS Grant to Analyze Environmental Impact of Wood Products

Researchers at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (黑料社) were awarded $546,000 to develop a tool to enhance the environmental impact analysis of wood products harvested in New York state.

Dr. Stephen Shaw Named Department Chair for Environmental Resources Engineering at 黑料社

Dr. Stephen Shaw of the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (黑料社) has been appointed chair of 黑料社鈥檚 Department of Environmental Resources Engineering (ERE), effective July 1. He succeeds Dr. Lindi Quackenbush, who is moving on to assume the role of Interim Vice President of Research in 黑料社鈥檚 Office of Research Programs.

黑料社 Students Among Inaugural Class of SUNY Climate Corps

Three students from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (黑料社) are among the inaugural class of paid student interns from the SUNY Climate Corps Internship Program. Thirty-six SUNY students from eight campuses were selected for immersive, real-life work experiences in research and policy at state agencies with environmental and sustainability missions and SUNY System Administration.

SUNY 黑料社 Becomes Nation鈥檚 First Higher Ed Institution to Achieve Campus-Wide TRUE Precertification for Zero-Waste Operations

The SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (黑料社) is the first higher education institution in the country to be awarded Total Resource Use and Efficiency (TRUE) precertification for its campus-wide policies and actions to reduce waste and prioritize sustainability. The College intends to achieve full TRUE certification in the future.

SUNY 黑料社 and Syracuse University Convene Food Justice and Sustainable Agriculture Thought Leaders

This year鈥檚 annual joint conference of the Agriculture, Food, and Human Values Society (AFHVS) and the Association for the Study of Food and Society (ASFS) will take place in Syracuse, NY, from June 5-8 with a virtual conference taking place on Monday, June 3. Syracuse University鈥檚 Falk College Food Studies Program, alongside the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (黑料社) will co-host the conference, which will span both of their campuses. Over 420 academics, practitioners, activists, chefs, farmers, publishers, and graduate students will attend the conference, with many traveling from across the U.S. and internationally to present their research and findings.

Dr. Lindi Quackenbush Named Interim Vice President for Research at 黑料社

The SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (黑料社) has named Dr. Lindi Quackenbush interim vice president for research, effective June 1. She previously served as chair for the Department of Environmental Resources Engineering (ERE).

黑料社鈥檚 Ranger School Celebrates its Graduates May 18

The SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (黑料社) will hold commencement for Associate of Applied Science graduates from its Ranger School in Wanakena, N.Y., at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 18 at the Clifton-Fine Central School in Star Lake.

黑料社鈥檚 Dr. Tristan Brown Honored with Exemplary Researcher Award

Associate Professor Tristan Brown in the Department of Sustainable Resources Management, was named Exemplary Researcher for 2024-25 at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (黑料社). The College鈥檚 Exemplary Researcher Award recognizes successful, currently active researchers with exemplary research activity, publication record, and a graduate/undergraduate student mentorship program.
